Class update for the New Year

Hello everyone,

We hope you’re finding quality time spent with family and friends during this holiday season enjoyable and restful.

On Saturday, December 27th, Michael and I woke up to snow.  It was a light dusting and it’s sticking around for us to enjoy it. 

2026 is a few days away!  To help you plan for next year, here’s a preview of some new class offerings. 

HAND FORMS PRACTICE WITH EARLYN – TUESDAY, 12/30 @ 2PM

For those interested, Earlyn is graciously offering a practice of all hand forms – traditional, 22 (essential), 26 (senior), and 49 (demonstration) on Tuesday, December 30th at 2pm.  No need to register – just click on this link:

To help you prepare for your 2026 tai chi goals, we wanted to give you a sneak peak at some new class offerings starting January:

Kirkland In-Person Class Location Change:

          Those attending in-person class in Kirkland, Sundays w/JP:

          Starting Sunday, January 4th class will now meet at Madison House (Totem Lake) – 12215 NE 128th Street, Kirkland 98034

Monday, January 5th – 12:30pm-1:15pm (PST) – Section 2 Review & Practice w/Kelly. 

          Join Kelly for an 8 week review of Section 2 that will focus on flow.

          The goal of this 45 minute weekly practice will be to become more familiar with the choreography of Section 2 while practicing the fundamentals that enhance the flow of movement and energy.

          Class starts January 5th and ends February 23rd

Thursday, January 8th – 12:30pm to 1:15pm (PST) – Traditional Form Practice and Q&A w/Kelly.  

          Join Kelly for a 45 minute practice that will consist of a warm up, practice of the full form, Q&A, and cool down.

          Class starts on January 8th and ends February 26th

Tuesday, January 13th – 9:30am to 10:30am (PST) – Section 1 w/DD. 

          This class will be learning Section 1 of the Yang 103 Long Form, one of the most widely practiced forms in the world. Section 1 uses all the Tai Chi energies and lays a strong foundation for moving forward in your Tai Chi journey.

          This class is perfect for beginning students, as well as for those seeking to review and deepen their understanding of Tai Chi fundamentals. Together, we will cultivate more agile and balanced bodies, as well as a fun, committed learning community.
